I am proud to represent District #1 and to serve the citizens of Kings County. I have lived in the Canning area with my wife Sharon for 35 years where we have brought up 4 children. We are the proud grandparents of 3 little ones.
I am an educator having served as a teacher and a school administrator in several schools including Canning (CDHS & NKEC), Windsor, New Minas, Wolfville, and Cambridge. I also served with the AVRCE as a system supervisor supporting students and schools up and down the Annapolis Valley for a period of 10 years. I have served in the School of Education at Acadia for the past 5 years.
I have always been an active member of my community having served on the Canning Village Commission for 18 years, Director of the Fieldwood Heritage Society for 20 years and in several other volunteer capacities within my community.
Some of my most enjoyable volunteer time has been coaching minor and school sports. As a committed participant in recreational activities, I have thoroughly enjoyed coaching baseball, hockey, and basketball.
I am committed to working hard to support active, safe, and stronger communities within Kings County and in particular, District #1. I represent the following communities: the Village of Canning and the communities of Arlington, Atlanta, Baxters Harbour, Bennett Bay, Blomidon, part of Brow of the Mountain, Canard, Centreville, Delhaven, Gibson Woods, Glenmont, Habitant, Hillaton, Kingsport, Medford, Norths Corner, Pereau, Ross Creek, Scots Bay, Sheffield Mills, part of Steam Mill, Upper Dyke, White Water, and Woodside.
