I joined Council in October 2020 and again in 2024 to represent District 5, which encompasses the communities of Aylesford, Crossburn, East Dalhouse, Factorydale, Harmony, Lake George, Lake Paul, Millville, Morristown, Nicholsville, South Greenwood, and Treatment, as well as Canadian Forces Base 14 Wing Greenwood.
I live in Lake George, Kings County, with my wife Karen, we have two sons and two daughters and eight grandchildren. I have worked in the Annapolis Valley for most of my life, from farming work to industry and transportation work. I studied quality control at NSCC, and quality and operation management from Holland College. I also hold certificates in many different programs. I joined the Lions Club in Berwick 24 years as a way to give back to the community. I am also a proud Legion member believing in supporting our veterans and our members in uniform. I am also a blood donor with over 153 donations in total.
I believe in local government that is just, fair, and works close with the people. I understand the need for tax money to pay for all the local programs, big and small, but I do not like waste. I would like to see more green ideas in our County. I promote development but we must strive to reduce the red tape and always be working towards helping the customer, the taxpayer. A big thank you to the hardworking people behind the scenes, that do so much to help keep this County running smoothly, I see how much of what they do every day.
Thank you again for this opportunity to try to make a difference in our communities.
