Building Inspections

Required Inspections in Accordance with Section 2.1.1.11(1) Nova Scotia Building Code Regulations 2009

• Footing Inspection (Prior to Foundation Installation)
      Note:  Location Certificate required, if you have received a footing permit, before continuing on.
• Foundation Inspection (Prior to Backfill)
• Subfloor Plumbing Inspection (Prior to Covering Pipes)
      Note: Including Radon Gas Control rough-in.
• Sub-floor Insulation & Foundation Insulation Inspection
• General Framing Inspection
      Note: Plumbing, Chimneys & Mechanical/Ventilation Systems must be installed.
      Note: Electrical rough-in complete and approved.
• Insulation & Vapour Barrier Inspection
      Note: All above stages that are pertinent to your project must be completed for Final Inspection.
• Prior to Occupancy Inspection
