Deed Transfer Tax By-law Advancing to Second Reading

Kings REMO - Emergency Coordination Centre Activated Daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

As of Oct. 1, the Kings REMO Emergency Coordination Centre will transition to daytime operations. It will be activated from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily and deactivated overnight. The Kings REMO Public Hotline (902-690-6112) will continue to operate during activation hours for residents seeking non-emergency wildfire assistance or information. For emergences, call 9-1-1.

The Canadian Red Cross Reception Centre and Emergency Shelter will remain open at the Louis Millett Community Complex in New Minas. Read this News Release for more information and follow www.kingsremo.ca for updates.

Kings REMO - Emergency Coordination Centre (ECC) Activation

Based on the wildfire evacuation in the area of Lake George, the Kings REMO Emergency Coordination Centre (ECC) has activated with Municipal staff to support Emergency First Responders. A Mandatory Evacuation Order has been issued for the area and a Canadian Red Cross Reception Area/Emergency Shelter is operating 24/7 out of the Louis Millett Centre in New Minas until further notice. 

The ECC has a Public Hotline available by calling 902-690-6112 for the public to call should they have concerns about the impacts of the Lake George Wildfire. Please call 9-1-1 in the event of an emergency.
