Bursary Opportunity
Valuing Education, the Municipality of the County of Kings offers bursaries each year to assist in reducing barriers for local students to pursue further educational opportunities, and to enhance the ability of young people to make meaningful contributions to their communities.
Award: There will be one
scholarship of $1000 awarded to
a graduating student from each of Kings County’s six high schools:
- Central Kings Rural High School
- École Rose-des-Vents
- Horton High School
- Kings County Adult High School
- Northeast Kings Education Centre
- West Kings District High School
Student applicants must be a resident of Kings County (municipality) to be eligible to receive the award; residents of the Town’s (Berwick, Kentville and Wolfville) are not eligible and should contact their respective Town to inquiry about available opportunities.
Award Purpose: To assist a graduating student to further their education.
Criteria for Selection: Submissions will be graded based on cover page, completion of the question, creativity and depth of response, spelling and grammar.
Submissions must include a cover page featuring the student’s name, civic address, mailing address, phone number, email address and high school.

By submitting your application, you are authorizing the Municipality of Kings to provide your submission to the bursary essay evaluators, and that all or part of this nomination may be made available to the public in accordance with the federal Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
