Swimming Area at Aylesford Lake Public Beach Reopened June 17

On June 17, Municipal staff determined it is safe to reopen the swimming area of Aylesford Lake Public Beach following a temporary closure due to a suspected sighting of blue-green algae on June 12. There will not be lifeguards on duty June 17, but beach goers will be allowed to use the swimming area at their own risk. Aylesford Lake Public Beach Open for 2026 Season

Aylesford Lake Public Beach opened for daytime use from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday June 1 and will soon be open weekends and evenings. As of June 13, the public beach will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, with lifeguards on site from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day starting June 14. By-law 93 & 98 Notice for Second Reading

On May 19, 2026, Municipal Council gave first reading to amend By-law 98, the Wastewater Sewer By-law. On June 2, 2026, Municipal Council gave First Reading to amend By-law 93, the Private Road Maintenance and Improvement Charge By-law.
